Walt:Recognise compound and complex sentences.
Task Description: Today for writing we learnt about Independant and Dependant clauses. We look at a paragraph in the beginning and on the side we had to writing what was wrong with it. We also looked at compound and complex sentences. At the end we had to writing the first paragraph in our own words.
Great job working hard today Jacob to complete your writing task. One thing to be careful of when changing those simple sentence into compound and complex sentences is making sure that you don't simply link all the sentences into longer sentences connected by FANBOYS. Change it up! Don't forget to have a complex sentence in there every so often as well. Do you see a sentence in your paragraph on the last slide that you could make a little better by making it a complex sentence instead of a very long compound one?
