He aha te Taima

Sustainability Water: Paragraph

Have you been keeping the waters clean and healthy? Some people don’t keep our water clean. Here are some things to do so we can save the waters and keep them clean and safe to drink.

We need to save the water for the environment. If we can save the water we will have plenty of water in the future, but we use too much water. The reason we use too much water is because we are having five minute showers and that takes up 400 gallons of water, leaving the tap on when brushing our teeth. iF we can have less showers, turn the tap off when brushing your teeth then we can have more water to have.

People don’t get enough water each day. 700 million people don't have the privilege to have clean water everyday, whereas other people who live in the city get clean water everyday. One way to save people who don’t have clean water is to send it to them.

Our waterways are polluted and it is not good to drink. The reason for water getting polluted is because we are letting the animals poo in the waterway. If we can help save the animals stop pooping we will have good waterways again.

So there you have it. These are my three things to keep our water clean. What would you do to save/keep our water clean and healthy?

Task Description: Today for reading we had to put what we put on our other post the Water Sustainablility. Then we had to writing our own introduction and conclusion.

2020 Immersion Assembly

This week we came back to school for term 4 and the theme for this term is Art Alive and in Maori is Toi Ora.

On the First day we had a immersion assembly which each team had to perform a movie or play which represents the theme. My First Favorite is Team 4. They had no time to create a play so. they recorded themselves in a google meet and it was hilarious.

My Second Favorite is Team 5. They imagined that they were in a Gallery exploring the different arts that are on the wall. It's was fun and a Amazing play.

Last Game For Marist...for now!

Last Saturday I played my last game of club rugby at Marist.

I've been playing at Marist for eight seasons, starting out with U6 Rippa Marist Royals in 2013 and finishing with my 2nd season as a U13 Blue player.  You might be wondering how I played U13 twice.  My coach/Dad thought it was a good idea for me and my friends to go straight from U7 rippa to U9 tackle rugby.  So I have pretty much always played at least 1 grade up.

Because of Covid-19 and a broken arm I got from training, I only played 3 games. I was bummed.

Our last game was against College Rifles and we started the game short some players. It took us less than a minute to score the first try and it was all on from there. It was a hot day and the game got a lot harder because we started to get dehydrated. We managed to win the game 70-10.  It was good to finish with a massive win.

I am a little sad to be leaving Marist for now and not having my dad be my coach, but I am excited to be going to college next year and making and playing with new team mates.

For the last time:
