A protest can be defined as an objection or complaint. There are different ways of protesting, People hikoi, petition, march, meet and strike. A protest usually involves a group of people coming together to fight for a cause.

Protests usually occur in response to an event or disagreement. People protest about important issues that they believe in. They want to fight for their rights for the people who have not been treated well.

Does protest actually work?
Protests work sometimes but not all the time because the government stops protests if they’re not allowed too. Some protest work like for example the Kate Sheppard protest and when they ask for women to be able to vote.
In conclusion, people protest about what they want to change. Protests do work and they can make the world a better place to live in.
