Welcome to term 4

Walt: use correct sentences to help structure our writing.

The holiday has ended and a new term is happening and the theme for term four is Te Wā Toi. We are learning about arts. I can’t wait to draw and also paint with my friends.

I am going to had a exciting because the events that are happening are and they are The Manaiakalani Film Festival, Athletics, Year 6 camp, Prizegiving, Testing, but not the reports because my mum might get angry.

My Goals for this term is to get a good report so my mum won’t get angry at me. I also want to be a leader for year 6 camp. I want to try be a presenter for the The Manaiakalani Film Festival. I want to finish my work.

I want to learn about different kinds of art and how they use to draw back in the day. I would like to learn about famous artists and what got them addicted to draw. I want to try draw cartoon and also pacific artifacts and items.

Te Wā Toi is going to be an a amazing term. I am going to look forward to the Manaiakalani Film Festival because I am the main actor for our Manaiakalani Film Festival, I’m looking forward to not seeing my report. Overall this term I think is going to be the besties term.

Immersion Assembly Term 3 2018

Walt: Using exciting language.

Term 3 and we had an Immersion Assembly!!  YAY =^..^=
Immersion Assembly is a assembly That consist of 5 movies of plays, The topic was move ya body which was a health and energy based topic.
Does your school do immersion assembly?

Like i said before the topic is move ya body which was a health and energy based topic but I’m sure that there is more to it.
Energetic and active is also a good way to describe our topic as it literally says Move Your Body which is energetic and active.
I think that movement is another key that explains move ya body.
So I think the energetic active and movement are three words that are related to move your body and they all mean moving.

If you didn't know my team is Team Four and our movie was about having fun while also staying active.
One of the activities the teacher's did was playing spoon hockey.
Which was a game where you had to put a spoon in your mouth and play hockey.

What i want for the term is that I would love to learning somewhere around movement
and health projects, health projects can be based around food's, our body, and energy based projects.
Movement projects could be like sports as sports create movement, more movement projects could also be based on energy.

Overall I think this term has a very interesting topic because of what it stands move ya body means heaps of things.
I hope that the future of term 3 will be (AWESOMES!!) =^..^=

Duffy Assembly - Recount

WALT: Write a recount with the right structure
WALT: Use interesting words to make your recount more exciting
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Have you ever been to a Duffy assembly before? You don’t know what you are missing, aye.

Pt England School were lucky enough to enjoy our first Duffy assembly for 2018, last Wednesday.  As we walked to the hall, I wondered what story we were going to see acted out.

We sat in the hall in our classes.  The actors introduced themselves, Melanie, Ashley and Duffy. We tried to sing the Duffy song.  It was pretty sad, not a lot of people actually sang.  The actors did the sign language version of the song. That was pretty cool.

The story they acted out was about a girl named Melanie and she was being bullied by Ashley.  Ashley would say unkind things and take her lunch.  It was really sad.  Melanie liked to read especially when she couldn’t sleep at night.

My favourite part of the assembly was when Duffy stood up for Melanie.  I think that was cool and the right thing to do.  It’s just like the Pt England way.

I learned that being a bully is not cool, but being kind is.

I can’t wait till the next Duffy assembly!

Task Description: This week we wrote a recount about the Duffy assembly that we had a school this week.
